Here you can find all the planned activities for Tactica 2012, and keep up to date with any changes that may take place.

All the games are participation games and visitors are strongly encouraged to play at any or all of our gaming tables. If necessary the rules will be explained by the presenters along with tactical advice. Feel free to bring your own miniatures and if you don't own miniatures, you can play with the minis available at each table.

Wikingerangriff auf die Hammaburg - Clash of Empires/SAGA, presented by Thomas Hahn, Patrick (Wraith) and Frank Bauer

It's the year 845, the now proud city of Hamburg is just a small fortified town, Hammaburg. Danish Vikings sail up the Elbe and atack the Saxon settlement. This historical event is the topic of our demo game at Tactica 2012.

On a 3m by 3m table ferocious dragon ships sail, shieldwalls clash, wild Northmen storm teh Saxon ring wall.

Patrick (aka Wraith) of the Kurpfalz Feldherren will paint the bulk of the figures and design the scenarios. Thomas Hahn will build the Hammaburg, its huts and fortifications. Terrain and Longships are provided by Frank Bauer"

Leipzig 1813 - The final Stage - BLACK POWDER - rules, presented by THS (Team für historische Simulationen)

This game is a Napoleonic What-if scenario, set in the morning of the 19th October 1813 in a northern suburb of Leipzig. The French troops have been pushed back by allied forces into the city and its suburbs. There is only one way out of Leipzig, a bridge over the river Elster. Historically, no further brigdes were constructed although the French Army included a pontoon train. In this scenario the Polish general Dombrowski, will order a bridge built and try to get as many units of the disintegrating French army across as possible, while standing up to the superior, and growing Prussian and Russian forces"

A fistful of rust - Pardulon Near Future Skirmisch, presented by Jens Beckmann

That's what the near future looks like: Trees with leaves are but a dim memory, corrugated iron sheets have become a coveted commodity. On the impressive new tabletop terrain of Sabine Rath and Jens Beckmann of Pardulon gangs and self-styled militias roam the wastelands, always hoping to alnd a lucrative job or just to find a rusty battery with a hint of voltage left."

After the Battle of Yamagata the Samura Uesugi Kenshin has retired to a mountain monastery near the vilalge of Mikawa. Now three Samurai of Oda Nobunaga's army and their henchmen have reached the village and prepare to attack it to catch the fugitive Samurai and to teach the villagers of Mikawa what it means to hide wanted men.

A scenario for 5 players in 2 teams. The rules will be Triumph and Tragedy with optional rules for the Samurai period"

Marquis de Vauban - A siege in the War of Spanish Succession (1701-1714) presented by the Kurpfalz Feldherren

Early in the 18th century, an alliance of Britain, the Netherlands and the Holy Roman Empire were at war against the French Sun King Louis XIV and its ally, Bavaria. To safeguard the French frontiers the Commissaire-général des fortifications Le Prestre, Marquis de Vauban had had numerous fortresses built or improved in recent decades. His skill as engineer stamped his name on a whole epoch of the building styles of fortresses.

In our scenario we present the siege of a fortress in the War of Spanish Succession. Plyers can choose to play the attackers, mining under the walls, battering them with guns and undertake the final charge into the breach, or to be defenders, trying to beat back the attackers or commanding a relief force to lift teh siege.

Some 2000 figuers in 10 mm scale will be on the table. We will play using DBA (De Bellis Antiquitatis) with our own rules expansions"

Pro Gloria et Patria - Black Powder, presented by Matthias and Thomas Richter

"The enemy just marched into Silesia. We are only a qurter mile away. The dawning day will decide our day. The glory of Prussia's arms and the honour of my House are my driving force and will remain so until my dying day"

Thus wrote Frederick II just before the Battle of Mollwitz to his brother Heinrich. On the fields of Silesia 10th April 1740 the future of Prussia hung in the balance. Could the young king challenge the mighty Habsburgs or would he be defeated by the battle-hardened army of Austria?"

Operation Gothic Serpent – presented by Gunnar

The dramatic events of 3rd/4th Octiber 1993 in Mogadischu are the base for this presentation. As seen in the movie "Black Hawk Down", a US Army task force, consisting of Rangers (Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment) and Delta Force (C Squadron, 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta), is sent to capture clan leader Aidid right in the center of Mogadischu. A fleet of 16 helicopters (Delta Force MH-6 und AH-6 Little Birds and MH-60 Black Hawks carrying Rangers) are on the course to Aidid's presumed location, the Olympic Hotel in Bakara District. At the same time a column of 9 Humvees and 3 5-ton trucks are moving to the hotel to taske over the prisoners.

The heroes of the War of the Ring, the Hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin return home to the Shire. But they meet a nasty surprise! A certain Sharkey and his wild comrades, outlaws and robbers all, have occupied the Shire.

Do you want tactical skirmishes with a flexible, dynamic rules system? With small special forces commandos of snipers, hackers and battlebots? Detailed and finely sculpted miniatures in vivid postures?

Scenario "Borodino 1812 – Assaulting the Rajevski Redoubt, Rules Quatre Bras, presented by the Frankfurt Partizans

The area between the town of Borodino and the small village of Semenovskoje was the center of the Russian deployment in the battle of Borodino, The decisive point was the redoubt occupied by general Rajevski's VII corps. If the Grande Armee was able to conquer this position, it would win the battle. The redoubt saw some of the bloodiest fighting of battle. This scenario represents those fights. Two players take the role of the attacking French: Eugene, Viceroy of Italy and Caulaincourt, ADC to Napoleon and commander of the cavalry. On the Russian side the players take over as general Rajevski and general Dokhturov. They will not only have to fight the French. They also face the task of getting enough reserves from their supreme commanders. The scenario will last about 2-3 hours.

"The Honey Wheat Town Tales" - Wild West Tabletop (self-written rules)

The adventures in Honey Wheat Town go on. This year they take the dusty trappings of a classic Western scenario: Gold miner Steve McGregory and his sons are coming to town to pay his debts to Shady Dan Brown. But Dan Brown, surprised that gold was found in the old mine, has decided he wants more than just his money back.

The scenario is played by the rules of our own Skirmish System.

Do not get Hürt! - 15mm WW2 Skirmish mit Burkhard Hannig

This small, fast game is based on the "NUTS" ruleset by 2HourWargaming. The scenarios take place in the Hürtgenwald (Germany) in 1944, where the Americans took some of their heaviest casualties while fighting in Germany.

The players take over as an NCO leading a squad of US infantry trying to survive "The big Hürt".
