The person of Thomas Edward Lawrence hardly needs an introduction. The British soldier, archaeologist and writer became a legend in his lifetime. El Aurens, as he was known in the Arab world, played a memorable role in the First World War and the Arab Revolt. It was made famous by the stories and speeches of American journalist Lowell Thomas, by the book “Seven Pillars of Wisdom” in which he describes his own experiences and finally by the great movie “Lawrence of Arabia” by David Lean from the year 1962.
Our figure (only available at the TACTICA), fantastically modeled by Michael Perry, shows T.E. Lawrence at the beginning of the Arab uprising in autumn of 1916.
